Hello, my name is Danielle Champagnie. I’m a mother of four with one granddaughter. I’m also a Licensed Practical Nurse with 20 years experience. I’m very compassionate about providing education, support and hope to empower Women.

I am Edwige, born and raised in Dorchester, MA. I have a wonderful son whom I adore. I’ve worked in OB/GYN for 15yrs both Clinical and Administrative. For the past 6yrs, I’ve been working as a Prenatal Intake Coordinator. I am an aspiring IBCLC working with Vital Village, in 2019 I graduated with a BS degree in Maternal Child Health with Human Lactation. Because of my passion for Maternal Child Health, I recently started my own business Baby Luv LLC to provide Maternal Care Services for Mothers and Babies.

I'm Kate, an aspiring doula with a deep commitment to advocacy and an insatiable love for learning! Birth Justice has propelled me throughout my professional career, leading me from earning a BS in health studies to pursuing graduate studies in medical anthropology, where I was a research intern at Boston Doula Circle. I've been with BDC for almost two years, currently as an executive assistant to the director.

Jeannette has dedicated over a decade to supporting children and families. In addition to her work with the Baby Cafe, she serves as a doula and data specialist with Accompany Doula Care. Jeannette is deeply committed to birth justice and health equity efforts. Her dedication is evident in her role as Project Manager of the Supportive Birth Collaborative at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, as well as her involvement in research studies focusing on perinatal mental health and integrating doulas into healthcare teams.

Jenny Weaver is a nurse and lactation consultant dedicated to building equitable breastfeeding support for families. Jenny believes that breastfeeding, in addition to its health benefits for our children, is a vital source for empowering parents, families and communities. Jenny has her RN, BSN from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.  She has been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 1998.

Alecia is a dedicated community change agent and birthworker with a deep commitment to addressing the disconnect between the medical system and the direct needs of the community.
They work tirelessly to remove silos and establish accessible, holistic support systems. Their focus spans key areas such as food insecurity, housing security, maternal mortality, and access to quality healthcare.
Alecia is particularly interested in how addressing health-related social needs can improve healthcare outcomes for entire families. They are invested in empowering communities, ensuring that the voices of clients, families, and the "village" are integral to shaping the larger systems of care. Alecia believes that the body is our ancestors' first altar, and that nurturing/honoring it—especially during the perinatal period—is essential for breaking generational cycles of trauma, healing the womb, and setting up future generations for success and well-being.
As a village builder and facilitator of community connection, Alecia remains deeply committed to fostering relationships that bring about lasting change and promote a culture of support and healing in every community they serve.​
